1. Who we are
Website Growth Audit (we / us / our) operates the website https://www.websitegrowthaudit.co.uk. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
2. What data we collect
- Information you submit through our forms: name, email, phone, business details, website address and your goals.
- When you send an enquiry, we also record the pages you viewed on this site during your visit, the page you first landed on, the referring site and any campaign (UTM) tags in the link you followed, plus your IP address, approximate country and browser details. This helps us understand which pages and campaigns lead to enquiries, and helps us spot abuse.
- Usage data such as IP address, browser and referring page, collected by Cloudflare for hosting and security, and by analytics tools only if you allow analytics.
- Cloudflare Turnstile checks our forms for automated spam. It processes signals about your browser and device for that purpose only.
3. Why we collect it
- To deliver the audit / proposal / service you've asked for, including a confirmation email or text message and follow-up emails about your enquiry.
- To prevent fraud and abuse.
- To improve the website and content.
- After we have worked together, to invite you to review our service.
- With your separate consent, to send occasional newsletter / growth tips.
4. Legal bases
- Consent, for marketing emails / SMS and for analytics cookies.
- Legitimate interest, for handling your enquiry, fraud prevention, basic analytics and review invitations.
5. Who we share it with
We don't sell your data. Our team uses it internally. We use the following third-party processors under appropriate data processing agreements:
- Cloudflare: website hosting, security, bot protection (Turnstile), storage of enquiry records, and Cloudflare Web Analytics if you allow analytics.
- Resend: sending emails, including your enquiry confirmation, follow-up emails and review invitations.
- Twilio: sending text messages, including a confirmation text to you and enquiry alerts to our team.
- Google: an enquiry log kept in Google Sheets. Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager are used only if they are enabled and you allow analytics.
- Plausible, Microsoft Clarity and Hotjar: website analytics and, for Clarity and Hotjar, session recording. These run only if they are enabled and you allow analytics.
- Tawk.to: live chat, only if it is enabled on this site and you allow it.
If we invite you to review our service, we email you a link to Trustpilot ourselves. We do not send your details to Trustpilot. If you choose to leave a review, Trustpilot's own privacy policy applies. We also use Trello to manage our own publicity and outreach tasks, but enquiries from this website are not sent to Trello.
6. International transfers
Some of our processors are based in, or access data from, the United States and other countries outside the UK. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on UK adequacy regulations (including the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified) or on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
7. How long we keep it
Enquiry data is retained for up to 24 months for service quality and dispute resolution. Enquiry records stored by this website are deleted automatically after 24 months. Copies held in our enquiry log and email are deleted on the same schedule, unless an active engagement requires us to keep them longer.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object or withdraw consent. Email [email protected] to exercise any of these rights.
9. Cookies
See our cookie policy. You can change or withdraw your cookie choice at any time using the Cookie Settings link in the footer.
10. Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
